CIANA staff highlighted the main features of our holistic immigrant integration model:
Director of Educational Programs Sophie Riina described our virtual English and Civics classes for adults, as well as our afterschool tutoring and enrichment programs for elementary and middle school students. Sophie also announced our upcoming Virtual Summer Camp! Further details to come.
Our Legal Services team went over the various forms of immigration legal relief that our attorney provides, ranging from citizenship applications to family petitions to DACA renewals, and more.
Our multilingual Case Management team, led by supervisor Venus Alfaro, explained the various social services, public benefits, and COVID-19 relief programs that we assist our clients with. Translation was provided in Spanish, Bangla, Arabic, and Urdu.
Our Outreach team reviewed our daily outreach as part of the NYC Test and Trace Corps, and the city- and statewide initiatives and coalitions CIANA has been a part of to advocate for immigrant communities.
