Services for Asylum Seekers
CIANA has joined the citywide response to the influx of asylum seekers in Astoria and across New York City. At this time we do not offer direct assistance for asylum or TPS. However, we do offer free legal screenings and referrals to organizations that do provide these services.
We assist with applications for work permits, NYC Care (healthcare), Fair Fares (discounted MetroCards), and IDNYC. We also help clients access nutritional resources and clothing. Contact us for assistance or to schedule an appointment. Learn more about our services for asylum seekers here.
